Despite the French government’s “STOP PUB” efforts to reduce paper waste in 2004, a recent study by consumer group UFC-Que-Choisir has found that the average amount of publicity posted through letterboxes is 2.3kg per month – almost 28kg per year – amounting to a 15% augmentation in the last 14 years.
To date, only one in five residents in the hexagon use the STOP PUB tools provided by the Minister of Solidarity and the Energy Transition. It’s time to do better.
According to a study conducted in 2014 in 59 departments, there was a decline of 83.3% in the number of leaflets received in mailboxes, after affixing the Stop Pub sticker. For Vertech’s employees in the Nice & Paris offices, we’re encouraging everyone to privilege a publicity-free lifestyle.
